Held biennially in Ben Tre City, the 6th Ben Tre Coconut Festival 2026 under the banner "Essence of the Coconut Kingdom — Green Integration & Sustainable Horizons" is Vietnam's premier national cultural, agricultural, and tourism celebration dedicated to the coconut palm — the iconic botanical treasure that has sustained the soul and economy of the delta. The international event gathers more than 500 exhibition pavilions from across Vietnam and member nations of the International Coconut Community (ICC). The festival dazzles with a vibrant array of cultural showcases: the Grand Street Carnival "Ao Ba Ba in Coconut Country" featuring over 3,000 participants parading gracefully in customary southern tunics, a record-breaking culinary festival showcasing 222 exquisite gourmet dishes made from coconut milk, pulp, and coconut heart prepared by master chefs, and the nostalgic "Historic Coconut Hamlet" living museum recreating traditional thatched-roof river dwellings and artisanal oil-pressing yards. Beyond the cultural fanfare, the 2026 Festival hosts international trade symposiums on zero-carbon organic coconut value chains, eco-tours guiding travelers into fruit-laden riverside groves to sip naturally sweet Xiêm coconut water, and fine handicraft carving competitions transforming coconut shells into works of art. At night, the Truc Giang Lake amphitheater comes alive with illuminated laser water fountain performances synchronized to soulful Don Ca Tai Tu folk melodies, offering an unforgettable tribute to Vietnam's land of coconuts.
