The Grand Festival of the Supreme Being (Đại Lễ Đức Chí Tôn, held on the 9th day of the first lunar month) alongside the Autumn Heavenly Banquet of the Mother Goddess (Hội Yến Diêu Trì Cung, on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month) represent the twin crown jewels of Caodai religious and cultural festivals at the Tay Ninh Holy See. Drawing hundreds of thousands of white-robed devotees from across the nation and curious international travelers, these grand convocations express collective devotion to the Supreme Being and the Holy Mother Goddess, praying for universal cosmic harmony, abundant harvests, and global fraternity. The absolute visual spectacle of the festival is the mesmerizing nocturnal performance of the Sacred Incense Dragon Dance (Múa Rồng Nhang). Spanning nearly 40 meters in length and woven from traditional bamboo, the dragon's body is encrusted with tens of thousands of glowing, fragrant incense sticks. Guided by over 30 athletic male acrobats moving in thunderous synchrony with the ancient Five Thunder Drums (trống ngũ lôi), the dragon twists and undulates across the grand plaza, exhaling plumes of fragrant smoke and sparkling embers into the night sky to cleanse negative spirits and bestow cosmic blessings. Surrounding the central ceremonies, the temple grounds host an extraordinary exhibition of nearly 100 artistic fruit-and-flower dioramas, meticulously sculpted from fresh tropical produce into the Four Mythical Creatures (Dragon, Qilin, Tortoise, Phoenix). Travelers are welcomed with legendary Caodai hospitality at the monumental communal dining halls, where hundreds of voluntary cooks prepare and serve tens of thousands of complimentary, delicious vegetarian meals to all visitors regardless of faith. The festival stands as a magnificent living tribute to Vietnamese communal altruism, spiritual ecstasy, and universal fraternity.
